Experimental Carol Christian Poell fingerless gloves constructed from black horse leather, with elongated grey-green rib-knit finger cuffs extending beyond the leather shell. The asymmetrical design features sculpted leather panels, articulated seams and gathered shaping across the back of the hand, with a split opening at the wrist. Each finger opening is finished with a tubular knitted cuff, creating an almost prosthetic extension of the hand. The contrasting materials and irregular proportions exemplify Poell’s concept of disparate construction, deliberately disrupting the symmetry of a conventional pair of gloves.
