Beautiful Comme des Garçons Homme Plus piece from the SS08 “Super Imposition” period.
A particularly elegant and understated CDG piece: elongated tailored proportions, dense charcoal wool, softly rounded jacket tails and an unusually high, almost sculptural collar that can be folded into a conventional peaked lapel. The construction is exceptionally clean, with covered fabric buttons, three-dimensional flap pockets, a narrow welt chest pocket and beautifully shaped sleeves finished with three-dimensional fabric-covered cuff buttons. The interior is fully lined, while the back remains extremely minimal with a long central seam and elongated proportions.
The subtlety is what makes it so good — essentially a classic tailored coat pushed into an elongated, slightly austere Comme silhouette.
