Helmut Lang FW99 military parka from the designer’s defining late-’90s period. Constructed from specially treated Vintage Cotton, with a deliberately aged military textile appearance. Features an oversized hood with drawcords, high funnel neckline, full-length metal zip, and large articulated cargo pockets with pointed buttoned flaps and divided compartments.
The sleeves use distinctive articulated panel construction with adjustable button cuffs, while a gathered horizontal seam through the waist subtly shapes the oversized silhouette. Fully quilted interior adds warmth and reinforces the utilitarian character. The 1999 Vintage Cotton military pieces are strongly associated with Lang’s FW99 collection, one of his most important and influential explorations of military, industrial and protective clothing.
