From Julius’ Spring/Summer 2009 collection, ‘Insanity in Industrial Inc. #3 – The Possessed’. A distinctive hooded jacket combining a soft cotton-silk body with extensive cow leather panelwork.
The construction centres around an elongated leather front panel extending from the oversized hood down the chest, featuring layered, gathered leather detailing, concealed snap fastenings and intricate stitched borders. The hood incorporates an adjustable leather fastening around the neckline, creating a substantial, architectural opening when worn.
Contrasted against the softer jersey body, the leather continues through the front placket and hood, with two angled zip pockets, elongated sleeves and an understated curved hem. A particularly interesting interplay of contrasting textures and materials, characteristic of Julius’ earlier collections.
