Leon Emanuel Blanck Early Asymmetric 3D Construction Knit Trousers
Leon Emanuel Blanck Early Asymmetric 3D Construction Knit Trousers
A highly considered pair built around asymmetric pattern cutting and complex anatomical construction. The waist features an offset closure system which shifts the fastening away from the conventional centre, creating an irregular overlap across the upper front.
The trousers are constructed from the same dense, heavily textured black knit, with extensive curved and intersecting seam lines tracing around the hips, crotch and legs. The patterning becomes particularly pronounced through the upper legs and knees, where multiple shaped panels wrap around the body to create a distinctive articulated form rather than a conventional trouser silhouette.
The construction continues down the legs with elongated, tapering proportions and layered panel work, giving the trousers a subtle wrapped / bandaged quality while retaining a very clean overall silhouette. The deliberately visible construction lines are central to the piece, making the trousers feel almost engineered around the anatomy.
