An especially strong example of Blanck’s early experimental approach to construction. The body is cut from a dense, heavily textured black knit with an elongated, close-fitting silhouette, while the entire upper section is dominated by an integrated ninja-style hood. The hood rises high around the head and closes asymmetrically across the face with an exaggerated high chin closure, creating a severe, almost mask-like profile when fastened.
The sleeves incorporate integrated gloves, extending the garment continuously from shoulder to hand. The glove sections are articulated into the sleeve construction rather than functioning as separate accessories, with pronounced seam lines and layered shaping running through the forearm and wrist.
The construction is particularly intricate throughout, with irregular panel lines, shaped sleeve sections and raw-edged finishing characteristic of Blanck’s early work. The asymmetry of the hood and closure gives the piece a distinctly protective, almost anatomical quality, while the elongated proportions make it exceptionally easy to layer.
