An unusual piece from Ann Demeulemeester’s AW11 collection, combining a tailored wool blazer construction with distressed, subtly mottled leather panelling across the front and lower body. Features an elongated shawl-style lapel, narrow tailored sleeves and contrasting leather welt pockets.
The defining detail is the integrated double-layer cummerbund construction, with an additional leather waist panel extending beneath the blazer and secured through a four-button fastening. This creates an unconventional, layered silhouette, almost resembling a separate waistcoat or corsetry-inspired fastening incorporated directly into the jacket.
Finished with a striking mustard-yellow lining, offering a further contrast against the predominantly black exterior.
